Hey....this is an unofficial invite to all the women out there who wanna come and enjoy an evening of fun at 1 lounge in koregaon park, Pune. Its our little way of celebrating womenhood. i have been learning belly dance for the past few weeks and its soo much fun. contrary to the popular belief, it is best done by women and for them only..the dance form was never meant for the men to see. In its inception it was a prenatal form of dance done by women to exercise their pelvic muscles. i remember how i had to fight a little bit at home to enroll for it...coz the image that my parents had was of not a very decent form of dance. I had to send them mails about the first dance form, enlighten them about the health benefits it has and what not! Phew!!
So a gentle reminder...please do come!
Venue: 1 Lounge, Koregaon Park

See You there!!
Hmmmm...its been a long gap again...i have traveled all the way to banglore. come here to meet my parents for diwali. a weird thing happened on the flight. i met this old man. chatted with him a little. just when i was starting to adjust myself in my seat he asked me about my education and stuff and what im pursuing in Pune. Coincidently he was a Mechanical Engineer too and an Mtech in Heat Transfer from IIT, Mumbai...actually i should be saying IIT, Bombay coz he was there when it was called that. he passed out from there in 1967 or something. he asked me about his subjects, told me about his...surprisingly he remembered his!! we didn't really speak too much...just during take off and a little before landing...coz throughout the flight i was sleeping...or at least trying to...and he was comfortably napping....with his newspaper open in front of him...he asked me about my parents and somehow there was a connect that i had with him...we got on to the wagon that dropped us to the airport...very courteously he let me get off before him...he even suggested to this lady on the bus( who was actually asking the driver and not him about where she could get an outstation bus from) about the bus stop. she wasn't quite interested in knowing from him though!! i thought i would ask him his name...or may be his email id....something that would let me be in touch with him...i wish i had....but i just couldn't....circumstances i guess....i took my baggage and left from there. i will attempt to look him up online, but don't know how successful i will be:(
that man came across as a very nice person. i like old men...they are so very genuine. i know of another such person, who happens to be my cousins' grandfather. a great man!! i will write more about him...may be later....
